Britain: Friday weather update 6 July, 2007 Welcome back to Britain for day one of this weekend's British Grand Prix. After the scares earlier on in the week about the weather, it now seems that the weekend will be 100% dry, much to the relief of everyone involved. Although today's conditions could prove to be overly windy, with gusts up to 32 mph, it will remain dry, despite the heavy cloud overhead. Temperature will stay in the high teens, with the mercury expected to rise to about 18 or 19°C. For Saturday, wind will once again be a factor, as well as the increased risk of rain, up from 20% on Friday to 30% on qualifying-day. Temperatures will climb slightly to 20°C. For now, Sunday is looking like the best day of the weekend, with the cloud disperssing somewhat, leaving room for the sun to break through. Temperatures will climb to 22°C, still relatively mild, with wind become much less of a factor as it was on Friday. Rain, again, is highly unlikely at 10%.
